Leigh is a qualified teacher, teacher trainer, project facilitator and education manager with a track record of social and community achievement through inspiring others in both developed and developing world contexts. Her passion is people and schools come top of her list of interesting places to work.

She has 30 years’ experience in education marketing and communications including website development; business strategy and development for schools; successful grant seeking and writing; alumni and stake holder management and major fundraising initiatives with event management. A published triple language translator, she functions at high capacity and performance levels in diverse cultures and work environments. Leigh most recently worked as a business strategist in education for the senior management team of OCR, the oldest examinations standards board in the world, Cambridge Assessment, UK and is now working for the Aga Khan Academies to develop CSR, External Relations and Partnerships, based in Hyderabad.

Leigh has a BA (Biology, Psychology and Health) from The Open University UK; Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE in Secondary Science, Biology specialist) from Exeter University, UK and a triple accredited Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ashridge Business School, UK. She has additional qualifications in teaching English (CTEFLA, University of Cambridge; DipTEFL, Edinburgh) and was a 2012 recipient of an award for ‘Women in Leadership’ from Ashridge. Following an early Rotary International scholarship as a Youth Ambassador from Australia to India, Leigh’s life-long passion has been to support new ways of providing access for quality education to the most challenged of world’s population.

Leigh’s MBA research into the UN EFA agenda, ‘Education for All’, revealed new barriers into the global agenda for education and led to a presentation on Disruptive Innovation in Education at Cambridge University, UK (2014). She has applied best business practice in Sustainability, Innovation, Marketing, Operations, Strategy, Leadership and Change Management and Finance to schools and education as an industry.

Currently working brokering government contracts in teacher training and digital financial inclusion in Telangana, Leigh is also the founding festival coordinator of KITE 2016 and 2017, Telangana’s first international kite festival in support of girl child education.
